The Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2011 will take place at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta. PBS Ltd announced that the event will be held on Friday 11th February and Saturday 12thFebruary 2011.
The beautiful, 16th century building is one of Valletta’s most remarkable landmarks and offers one of the most prestigious indoor event venues in Malta. The MCC, as it is often referred to, has in fact been the seat of the most exclusive events held in Malta, from theatrical performances to large-scale international events and banquets.
The 24 contestants for the Malta Eurovision Song Contest have been announced by the PBS on Saturday morning.These performers will compete in the preliminary televised show on 11 February, after which 16 songs will advance to the final on 12 February. They will then be judged by an equally valued panel of professional judges and a public televote. The winner will eventually represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest which will be held in Germany in May 2011.
